Golden Eaglets' Gets New Head Coach.

Former Super Eagle Player, Emmanuel Amunike have been appointed as the new head coach for the Nigerian male U-17 national team, the Golden Eaglets.

The head of the Nigeria Football Fedration technical committee, Emmanuel Ikpeme, in an interview with BBC Sport confirmed  Amunike's appointment, He stated that Amunike’s appointment was borne out of the need for continuity, since Amunike was an assistant to Manu Garba, who led the Golden Eaglets to World Cup glory in 2013.

“We have opted for continuity because these coaches are highly experienced and qualified to continue with the progress we are making.

“We’ve had a couple of disappointing experiences in the past and it was felt that we couldn’t take the same route again,” NFF official said.
