While carrying out his lawful duty, the photo-journalist, Adekola Bamigbala attempted to take pictures of Omawumi, but little did he know that danger was lurking for him, as the singer allegedly pounced on him, snatched his big camera and went with it, dealt with him with heavy strikes in the face in quick succession, which gave Bamigbala a swollen face.
Omawumi was contacted, but a lady, who claimed not to be her, refused to speak when explained why the call was put through. The voice heard indicated that it was Omawumi and probably not willing to speak on the matter.
An SMS was immediately sent to her (Thursday), which has not yet been replied to four days after.
However, the victim was called and he explained the incident. Bamigbala wondered why Omawumi would descend so low to attack him.
When asked if they have had issues before that day, Bamigbala said he can't remember any.
