It wasx reported that Malaysia has deemed Ke$ha unfit for public consumption. The government yesterday declared that her concert planned for today in Kuala Lumpur won't take place after all because she's too risque for the mostly Muslim country, reports AP.
It would be a religious and cultural insult, declares government
Promoter Livescape said Ke$ha had promised to be a little less Ke$ha-like, but the government ultimately decided she would be too offensive in terms of "religious sensitivities" and "cultural values," note AFP.
In other words, she sings about sex and booze too much. All of which means Malaysians miss out on lyrics like this, Ke$ha gets some great publicity, and religious conservatives in the country score another victor.
