She wrote on blog "In the past, I had heard all sorts about Ajegunle so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was invited by my friend, Vocal Slender. Some of you may remember him from the BBC Welcome to Lagos documentary. Anyway, Vocal Slender now has a project called "Ghetto Love Project" where he supports and motivates the less privileged.
I've been supporting Ghetto love project since they started but this edition was the first one i attended particularly because it nvolved children and schools. A lot of the children living in Ajegunle had been going to school carying their school books in nylon/plastic.bags. How will a child who doesn't have a school bag be motivated to go to school? Ghetto love "Back to school" edition surely came to the rescue.
I thank God everything went well and i want to say thank you to my husband, my mother, Chief Mrs. Ladun Lawal, Ntyce Lagos, Mr and Mrs Adeworan and all the volunteers.
We donated school bags, exercise books, biros, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, sandals, rulers and snacks for about 500 children.
