Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddy Montana were together known as Remedies, a pop group that were fans’ favourite between the late 1990s-early 2000s
Eedris who took on the stage to perform his latest single ‘I go Wooz You’ was suddenly joined by Eddy Montana to perform their award-winning hit, ‘Shakomo’.
In what turned out to be one of the highlights of the event hosted by DJ Jimmy JATT on Monday, September 30, at GET Arena, Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddy Montana who rested their music band (which had earlier included Tony Tetuila) Former members of pioneering hip-hop band, ‘Remedies’ performed together as a group for the first time in many years at Jimmy’s Jump Off on the eve of Nigeria’s 53rd independence anniversary.
As a band, Remedies scored massive hits in the 90s with their debut album which included tracks ‘Belinda’, ‘Shakomo’ and ‘Judile’ before the group was disbanded. Tony Tetuila was the first to leave the group under resentful circumstances which later spurred a verbal animosity between him and the remaining group members.
