Pink sued over unpaid royalties

American pop star Pink has been accused of duping her former producers of £22,000 (N5.5M) according to a lawsuit filed against her last month in New York.

According to the lawsuit, the two companies Specialists Entertainment and Thunderstone Productions signed a deal with pink to produce her first record Can’t Take Me Home, which was released in 2000.

The companies claim they had an agreement to share the producer’s royalties equally on the tracks they worked on, but Specialist Entertainments now claims they have never received any royalties based on the agreement. They are now suing for the remainder of the unpaid royalties.

It was said that Pink’s record label Sony are responsible for paying the producers but the company has filed a lawsuit against the pop star.

Pink has released five more albums, with her most recent being The Truth About Love, which reached No.2 in the UK charts last year.
