Patience Ozokwor at war with Ibinabo Fiberesima’s AGN

The Actors’ Guild of Nigeria’s current peaceful state might not last much longer, if reports reaching us turn out to be true.

Coming soon after Emeka Ike‘s many accusations about the integrity of the guild are more complaints from popular actress, Patience Ozokwor. Unconfirmed reports claim Ozokwor isn’t happy with the recent election and is making serious efforts to frustrate the administration, allegedly going as far as starting a new guild in Enugu, where she resides, to achieve her mission.

But in a chat with, the president of the guild, Ibinabo Fiberisima, vehemently denied the story. ‘That’s not true at all, there is nothing, I promise you. She is like a mother to me’ she told us.

In a similar manner, Vice President of the AGN Board of Trustees, Emma Ogugua, claimed ignorance of the matter, saying that Ozokwor was yet to publicly declare her intentions: ’Anybody has the right to form any association but she can’t because she is yet to denounce the guild’ he said.

But the guild’s Public Relations Officer, Frank Dallas, has confirmed there is some animosity going on. He told our reporter that the actress was guilty of anti-guild offences, adding that proper measures will be made to restrain her. According to him, Ozokwor started a Nollywood Talent hunt show in Abuja without the consent of the guild, which was frowned upon by the president, and in retaliation, Ozokwor began her anti-AGN campaign.

When we spoke with Ozokwor, she declined to confirm or deny the rumors, saying: ‘I can’t let you interview me on telephone, if you want to talk to me, come to my house. I live in Enugu‘. She also declined our offer of an interview conducted via emai
