Yesterday, 22nd December,2012 , the leggy model and ex-beauty queen, Agbani Darego adds a year.
Born Ibiagbanidokikubo Asenite Darego, she rose to fame after winning the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant in 2001.
This got her a ticket to represent Nigeria in the Miss Universe in Puerto Rico where she came seventh. November of the same year, Darego did Nigeria and Africa proud by winning the highly coveted Miss World pageant. She’s the first-ever black-African Miss World.
Since her hand-over in 2002, Darego has continued with modelling, signing up as the face of L’Oreal cosmetics and an ambassador of Arik Airline. She is also signed with popular modelling agency, Ford Models.
